These terms apply to every enquiry, quotation and order placed with Alis Stones through this website, WhatsApp or email. Please read them before you confirm an order.
About Natural Stone
Natural stone is quarried from the ground. Colour, veins, grain, small holes and marks vary from block to block and within one slab. These variations are a natural feature of the stone and are not a defect. Photos on this website show the stone type, not the exact lot you will receive.
Quotations
- Every order is based on a written quotation from us.
- The quotation states the stone, size, thickness, finish, quantity, price, delivery term and validity date.
- Prices on a quotation are valid only until the date written on it.
- Information on this website, including sizes and varieties, is for general guidance and is not an offer.
Orders And Confirmation
An order is confirmed only when both sides have agreed the written quotation and any payment it asks for has been received. Any change to the size, quantity or finish after confirmation may change the price and the delivery time.
Sizes And Tolerances
Natural stone is cut by machine, and small differences in length, width and thickness are normal. Calibrated stone, where the back is machined to an even thickness, can be quoted on request.
Payment
Payment terms are stated in the quotation. The stone is released for shipping after the payment terms in the quotation are met.
Packing And Delivery
- Stone is packed in wooden crates or on pallets suitable for transport.
- The delivery term, such as FOB or CIF, and the port are stated in the quotation.
- Delivery times are estimates and can change because of weather, transport, port or shipping line delays outside our control.
- The buyer is responsible for import duties, taxes, customs clearance and any documents required in the destination country, unless the quotation says otherwise.
Inspection And Claims
Please check the stone on arrival. Any claim for breakage, short quantity or wrong material must be sent to us in writing within the time stated in the quotation, with clear photos of the stone and the packing. Stone that has been cut, fixed or installed cannot be claimed against, so please check it before installation.
Cancellation
An order can be cancelled before production starts. Once cutting has started, the stone is made to your size and the order cannot be cancelled. Any refund of an advance is handled as agreed in writing.
Liability
Our responsibility is limited to the value of the stone supplied in the order. We are not responsible for installation work, the choice of stone for a particular use, or any loss caused by delay. Guides and articles on this website are general information and are not technical advice.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
